Coal Fired Power Generation

Application:coal fired power generation_285

Dechlorination of Power Generator Outfall (Zebra Mussel Control)

ProMinent Equipment:

ProMinent Gamma Series metering pumps

Application Details:

ProMinent Gamma Series metering pumps for the feed of the sodium bisulphite into outfall of power generator cooling water that had been treated with chlorine for zebra mussel control at the intake. Skid constructed of epoxy coated 304 SS material for corrosion resistance. Control panel for local control and patch of remote control signals to each of the metering pumps to feed sodium bisulphite to the process based on chlorine residual and flow rate.

PVC construction of the skid allows for resistance to the chemicals being pumped. Local flow monitoring on each metering pump with fault annunciation outputs allows for remote monitoring of the performance of each device. Pressure relief, Back pressure, pulsation dampeners and calibration columns all supplied as part of the package, built and tested by ProMinent. Actuated ball valves at the termination of the skid allow for complete isolation of the package
from the injection points from remote control of the unit.
