Product description

DULCOZERO allows action to be taken before damage occurs, in case of chlorine breakthrough performance

Reliable monitoring of the absence of free chlorine is indispensable in many water treatment processes. During diaphragm processes (e.g. reverse osmosis Reverse osmosis is a sub-sector within membrane filtration. It is the process with the highest ... more in the glossary), free chlorine is often used initially for disinfection, but then must be eliminated to protect the diaphragms. Even the lowest concentrations of free chlorine breaking through may irreversibly destroy the diaphragms, leading to costly damages. This is applicable in a wide range of applications, including drinking water treatment, industrial process water, cooling systems, and recreational water sectors.

Long periods of time can go by without the presence of free chlorine, which negatively impacted existing methods of monitoring. The DULCOZERO FCL has been designed to overcome these challenges with a high level of reliability and accuracy. Utilizing an innovative amperometric sensor, it accurately measures free chlorine concentrations as low as 0.02 ppm within less than 3 minutes of breakthrough, even after long periods when free chlorine is not present. An alarm is then issued so that further actions can be taken. The system also features a smart signal interpretation algorithm that filters out noise and spikes, minimizing false alarms. It combines pH and ORP measurements with chlorine readings to enhance accuracy and reliability.

By combining high accuracy, fast response and low maintenance, the DULCOZERO FCL safeguards critical processes and equipment from the potential damage caused by free chlorine exposure.

Your benefits

  • Unmatched Process Reliability: Rapid chlorine breakthrough detection in less than 3 minutes at concentrations as low as 0.02 ppm even after long periods when free chlorine is not present.
  • High Accuracy with Smart Signal Interpretation: Advanced algorithms combined with pH and ORP measurements for Intelligent signal processing filters out noise and compensates for fluctuations, reducing false alarms.
  • Low Operating and Maintenance Costs: Only needs calibration every 3 months, significantly reducing downtime, and does not require continuous chemical dosing.
  • Remote Monitoring and Data Access: IoT integration optional with DULCONNEX Gateway, along with data logging via SD Card to monitor and record data.
  • Long-Term Stability: Sensor maintains accuracy even after prolonged periods without chlorine, reducing the risk of sensor degradation, ensuring consistent performance.
  • Simple Operation and Maintenance: Integrated calibration system via the diaLog DACb controller’s calibration assistant for quick and convenient calibration even with chlorine-free process water. The BAMa Sensor Housing is a toolless design with flow control to simplify sensor maintenance.
