Flocculant metering - an option for private pools
The metering of flocculants is an effective aid to the treatment of swimming pool water. It is already essential in public pools and can be cheaply undertaken in private ones too with little effort. This is a combined chemical and physical-technical process, which enables the filtration of tiny colloidal particles (< 1 µm) with a negative charge. The positively charged flocculant attracts these particles and macroflocs form, which can then be filtered, allowing undesired substances to be removed from the water circuit.
ProMinent has the corresponding peristaltic or solenoid metering pumps to accurately set a minimum metering volume. However, since only very small amounts of tiny particles are found in private pools, flocculant metering systems are not absolutely essential for good water quality.
